THOUGHTS ON THE BOOK

Our impression, what we learnt and what we took from it

"1984 allowed me to view the world in a different light. It gave me ideas and questions and theories that now make me wonder if our pandemic even truly exists. Was it just a tactic the government had placed? Is this just a way to get the population in order? It really opened my perspective and opened a window of questions that keep me company."

- Paulina Beatriz

"Personally, for me, the book is perfect, I’ve studied topics similar to this in history. The book really reflects on how the world is today or even predicts what could potentially happen in just a couple of years from now."

- Alyson Dias

"The reason why we chose "1984" was because of its captivating background, wherein it was banned from a few countries. A personal pick from the book is the countless implicit meanings implemented through the setting because of how minimal the characters were given the chance to speak. It was great to see that the author found alternatives to truly convey the sorrows of the characters in the novel."

WORKING WITH THE TEAM

Our experiences and difficulties with working with each other

Individual Reports: Testimonials

As a group, it did not take us too much time to decide on a book. We worked in harmony and grace because everything was pre-planned by one another, such as the amount of pages we must read every week. However, the only issue that we faced as a group was updating the progress sheet. Few of the students would merely update the sheet due to circumstances but that did not hinder us to strive to produce quality work.
