Just writing this headline is enough to get me vaporized and wiped out from existence.Really,how can you trust a country that calls it's army the “Ministry of Peace".Euphemism blinding you to the fact that they've shed the blood of millions,taken your own relatives and loved ones because they didn't fit the cookie cutter shaped mold.How a slight deviance from their iron grip is enough for you to be abducted and tortured til you're nothing but a shell of a person.
As flattering as you might think patriotism is to who you serve,you're nothing but a disposable pawn to the nation you’ve pledged your allegiance to.This grey,dingy cage is what you call “home” and the poisoned air you fill your lungs with is due to the destruction caused by whom you fervently call big brother.
Do you not feel unnerved with the state you're in?
The way your walls have eyes, and doors have ears to make sure you don't get to show individuality because the greatest form of rebellion is to have an opinion.Their thinly veiled oppression is called “surveillance” to protect you they say, but truth is that they merely want us to be kept on a short leash.To utter words or think is the greatest form of treason,enough to be labelled as an offender
But isn't the hierarchy the actual criminals?
They have stripped us of everything we are.Thoughts,passions and our bond with others, you are no longer permitted to love.Your family are conspirators to the very people who want you dead.Your significant other is nothing more but a person,a stranger to breed with and continue the suffering the government wants us to think is to “live”.
What does it actually mean to live anymore?
When your food is scraps they call “rations” and all you can drink is the stale alcohol they label as “victory gin”.The grueling,monotonous work to “give you purpose” in this bleak and forlorn shambles they call a country.How the government stifles your thoughts and feelings because they are ripping pages from the dictionaries.The power that these words hold is what the government fears.Hold onto that because in their view a terrorist is someone who is eloquent and isn't afraid to question their authority.Someone who is their own person.Individuality is your greatest weapon in Oceania.
But I understand how difficult it is to do that when your comrades resemble hawks,gawking at you,adamant you make a mistake,a slip up.That's only because turning you in could be their greatest accomplishment in their dreary life.To finally get the validation they were yearning for because of all the propaganda that rot their brain.
I also understand that your safety isn't guaranteed.Grenades and bombs blasting in your neighborhoods,ashes and debris frost your face to remind you what you could've been if you didn't move fast enough.
But regardless of the hurdles you'll face,find the resolve and stay tenacious We need your resolve to win this drawn out battle that has tormented us for years.To end this perpetual war.Stay sharp,be determined and lastly think freely.
